NEW ENGLAND ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES, INC.
Briarwood College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., Commission on Technical and Career Institutions, a nongovernmental, nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through collegiate institutions offering post-graduate instruction.

ACCREDITATIONS AND APPROVALS
Briarwood College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., a nongovernmental, nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through
ivy-league colleges such as Yale University and Harvard University. The high
academic standards implied in the accreditation by NEASC helps assure Briarwood
students that credits earned at Briarwood are more likely to be accepted at
other colleges and universities.
Briarwood College is accredited by the State of Connecticut Board of Governors for Higher Education.
The Dental Chairside Assistant Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (and has been granted the accreditation status of "approval without reporting requirements"). The Commission is a specialized accrediting body recognized by the United States Department of Education.
The Health Information Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) in collaboration with the Council on Accreditation of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
The Child Development Laboratory School, in conjunction with Briarwood College, is accredited by the National Academy for the Education of Young Children.
The Dietetic Technician Program is granted approval by the American Dietetic Association Council on Education, Division of Education Accreditation/Approval.
The Legal Assistant/Paralegal Program is approved by the American Bar Association.
The Executive Medical Assistant Program has been granted initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
The Mortuary Science Program is accredited by the Committee on Accreditation of the American Board of Funeral Service Education.
The Occupational Therapy Assistant Program has been accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Briarwood College is approved to offer programs for the education and training of veterans and other eligible U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs beneficiaries.
Briarwood College is a member of the Servicemembers Opportunity College organization (SOC).
Briarwood College is approved for the training of students under the Connecticut Bureau of Rehabilitation Services.
