Briarwood College Scholarships are awarded to qualified students based upon academic merit, extracurricular activities, your personal statement, and recommendation letter(s). The following documents will be considered in determining your eligibility:

• SAT scores (Briarwood’s code is 3121)
• Resume of extracurricular activities
• Personal Statement. Choose one of the following or
select your own topic:
   – What aspects of Briarwood College encouraged
      you to apply and why have you decided to pursue
      the major you have selected?
   – Describe a significant experience or achievement
      that has special meaning to you.
   – Write a general statement describing your
      educational or career goals.
• Letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor or teacher.

DECA and FBLA scholarships require a recommendation from a DECA or FBLA advisor or guidance counselor.

Briarwood Alumni Scholarships require a recommendation from a Briarwood alumnus/a.
