ADMISSION PROCESS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
HOW TO APPLY
Required Documents
- Completed application form and $25 application fee. (paper or on-line)
- An official record of your secondary school, college, or university records, along with a notarized translation if they are not in English.
- Official Test Scores: The TOEFL is required for students whose first language is other than English.
- One letter of recommendation from a teacher or school official. In case of a non-traditional age student, a letter from an employer or colleague may be substituted.
- A personal statement explaining your reasons for wanting to study at Briarwood College.
Immigration Process
If you are accepted, you will be asked to send a deposit of $345.00 if you plan to be a resident student. You will also need to submit proof of your or your sponsor's ability to meet all costs, including tuition, housing, food, books, and transportation to and from your home. After receiving this deposit, the Admission Office will send you a copy of the U.S. Department of Justice Form I-20. To obtain a student visa, you will present this form to a US Embassy or Consulate.
Application Deadlines
The College accepts applications on a rolling basis. However, please note that it can take up to 6 weeks to process your visa after you are accepted. We recommend that you apply by the end of June for the Fall semester and by the end of November for Spring semester.
Scholarship Application Deadline
Because the College's financial aid is limited, only fall applicants who apply by March 30 will be considered for scholarships between $1,000.00 and $2,500.00.
