Health Services
Briarwood College's Health Office provides confidential health care, basic first aid, health counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to outside agencies when necessary.
Medical Record
Every student who attends Briarwood College must have a health record on file in the Health Office. All medical information is kept confidential. In compliance with state laws, students' immunizations must be documented and on file. Students born after 1/1/57 must have two doses for the MMR vaccine, the second being after 1/1/80 or lese a positive titer result. State law also mandates that all resident students must have the meningitis vaccine.

Confidentiality
All medical information in a student's health record or shared during a visit will be kept confidential and will not be shared with anyone (including parents) without the student's permission. Students are responsible for notifying their parents or guardian regarding health issues. Under the FERPA guidelines, a College official may inform a parent or guardian if he or she feels a concern for the student's safety. An authorization form to release medical information is available for downloading here.
