This hands-on accelerated program is designed for busy practicing physicians and license health practitioners (MD, DC, DO, DMD, DDS, DPM, ND, PA, PT, OT, APRN, and RN) and leads to the Acupuncture Certification for Physicians (AcCP) or other respective profession. No prior experience in Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine is required to qualify.
The program is open to any licensed physician or medical/professional student (in their last year) who would like to expand his/her practice by integrating acupuncture as a form of treatment.
The program features:
- Clinical/practical hands-on instruction in every module
- Fully computerized lecture and laboratory instruction
- Weekend classes
- Forty-eight Continuing Education Units
Course Descriptions/Course Schedules
The program consists of seven modules that include over 100 hours of clinical and didactic instruction and is scheduled in six consecutive months during the fall and spring semesters. An accelerated summer schedule is also available.
All classes run from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays beginning with an introduction and review of prior lectures before progressing with new material.

Instructor
- Dr. Bryan W. Barry is a graduate of the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic where he received his Doctoral Degree in Chiropractic. He also obtained a Master of Science Degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport Nutrition Institute. Dr. Barry has studied Acupuncture extensively and received post-graduate training and certification in Orthopedic Acupuncture. He is the Founder and Clinical Director of Medical Acupuncture, L.L.C. and New England Nutritional Therapeutics, L.L.C. Dr. Barry is the Primary Attending Chiropractic Physician for Connecticut Chiropractic Specialists in Milford, CT.
- Jordan Goetz, M.D. graduated from The Chicago Medical School, completed his internal medicine residency at Danbury Hospital, and subsequently served as a medical officer in the United States Air Force. Since 1993, Dr. Goetz has extensively studied and integrated complementary and alternative medicine with conventional practice. He is a founding Diplomate of the American Board of Holistic Medicine and is nationally certified in Medical Acupuncture. He is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Program Costs
- The program cost of $3,995 includes class notes, Clean Needle Technique text, lab materials, written examination, practical examination, clean needle technique examination, a framed wall certificate, and a healthy breakfast and lunch for each class.
