The accounting program at Briarwood College prepares students for entry-level employment in accounting departments in business or government organizations or for further education leading to a baccalaureate degree. Students gain knowledge of the principles of accounting and how to prepare, analyze, and verify financial data necessary for making sound business decisions. In addition to specific accounting program courses, a comprehensive general education curriculum also provides program graduates with knowledge of the U.S. economic system, principles of management and marketing, and business law as well as strong communication and critical thinking skills.
