JENNIFER DION
In high school I wasn't in the popular crowd and didn't participate in school functions - so going to school was a bit of a drag. I did okay in the classroom, but I was really shy and didn't speak up much.
I chose Briarwood because it was small and I knew I wouldn't just be a number. At Briarwood I participated in school activities and clubs, this opened me up to new things and people. This has affected my career because I am able to be more personable with my clients.
During my first internship in the State Attorney General's Office, I was able to practice many of the things I learned in class. My internship experiences definitely gave me the edge I needed to land my first job as a paralegal.
Today, I am a paralegal at Secor,Cassidy & McPartland in Waterbury. The majority of my work deals with defense litigation. I am really enjoying my career and job. I am Jennifer Dion. I AM BRIARWOOD.
